WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Wednesday, April 24, 2019, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Energy Dan Brouillette will travel to Brownsville, Texas to participate in a signing ceremony for the Brazos Island Harbor (BIH) Channel Improvement Project Funding Agreement. The event will be hosted by NextDecade Corporation and the Port of Brownsville.
The BIH Improvement Project is a landmark funding agreement between the Brownsville Navigation District and NextDecade, representing a significant economic development opportunity for the Rio Grande Valley and a significant energy infrastructure opportunity for NextDecade’s Rio Grande LNG project.
Deputy Secretary Brouillette will provide remarks on the importance of U.S. natural gas infrastructure development for the New American Energy Era. He will also have a brief media availability following the event.
