WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, June 14, 2019 at 11:30AM EST, U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry and President Andrzej Duda will travel to Louisiana to tour Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG terminal. The two leaders will also hold a bilateral meeting to discuss opportunities to bolster U.S.-Poland energy cooperation. Following the tour of the LNG export facility -- which is expected to be a significant source of U.S. LNG exports to Poland in the future – President Duda and Secretary Perry will hold a press conference.

Under President Trump’s leadership, our two nations have launched the U.S.-Poland Strategic Energy Dialogue which fosters and supports energy partnerships with Poland. In the past year Poland has signed approximately 25 billion dollars in contracts with U.S. firms to buy more than 6 billion cubic meters of American LNG, and this week Poland and the United States signed another contract for an additional 2 billion cubic meters worth about 8 billion dollars.
